DRONE JOURNALISM
My passion for aerial photography began when I was given the opportunity to create a drone pilot program for my employer. The TV station where I work was the first in a five state area to use drones for news coverage. Having the drone program has enhanced our broadcasts and raised our storytelling abilities.
HOUSE FIRE
A local house fire breaks out and firefighters work quickly to stop the fire from spreading to other homes. The drone video offered a different view and shows firefighters working from the roof.
BARGE ACCIDENT
A barge on the Ohio River breaks loose and slams into a dam. The coal barges continued to sink from the pressure of being pushed up against the dam. Drone video gave me a view of barges being pinned against the wall of the dam.
BREONA TAYLOR PROTEST
Protestors wanted justice and took their message to a heavily traveled bridge. The bridge is nearly one mile long and drone video captured the banner and message as people were quickly arrested.
CAPE ENRAGE
The right weather conditions made this shoot extra special. It's a view of a famous lighthouse that most people don't see. The special skills of flying a drone came in handy to capture a zip line in motion.
